Peer Advisors

 

The Peer Advising Program helps all first-year students succeed through tutoring and peer support. PAs are upperclass students who are dedicated to helping first-year students thrive at 91°®¶¹´«Ã½ by:

  • Connecting with students at least three times per semester
  • Creating special programs
  • Working with offices, departments, and faculty to ensure students' needs are met
  • Informing students about upcoming programs, workshops, seminars, and speakers
  • Serving as a resource for the transition to college life

Students are assigned to peer advisors in connection to their First Year Course and Seminars.

First Year Seminars

First Year Seminars are co-facilitated by Peer Advisors and a campus Facilitator. This extension of your First Year Experience Course will provide an important introduction to the 91°®¶¹´«Ã½ community, college life management strategies and the resources available to help you transition successfully into the college learning and living environment.
